GUS has been selected from over 60 start-ups from across Australia to participate in Energise, KPMG Australia’s Energy and Resources (ENR) sector accelerator program. The 12-week program, which kicked off in Perth on Tuesday, will be run out of KPMG’s Western Australian headquarters and involves the participation of eight technology start-ups. Engergise is the largest ENR accelerator in the Australia-Pacific region.
Energise was developed by KPMG to link innovative high-growth tech businesses with 14 ENR industry participants. As well as an accelerator program for start-ups, Energise is an external innovation platform for supporting companies who are keen to understand how to more effectively evaluate and integrate external technology solutions into their operations. ENR participants include platinum sponsor Woodside, and gold sponsors Resource Capital Funds and Jolimont Global, in addition to BHP Billiton and Fortescue Metals group.
During the Energise program, GUS will receive input from a panel of over 60 mentors, including Silicon Valley-based startup experts and 40 KPMG specialists. Companies have been selected based on their ability to develop their technology to match real industry needs, and will have the opportunity to work closely with executives from the ENR sector – including potential clients and partners.
